“Unleash Your Pen Power: Dive into the World of Stories with the India Writing Project 2023!”
In an era where the art of storytelling and literature is blossoming, there is a growing movement of writers who are penning down their thoughts, breaking borders and resonating through the hearts of many. The year 2023, saw some noteworthy volumes reckoning with the violence driven by imperialist ambitions, a theme that stirred and shook many readers.
In line with this spirit of fostering audacious and groundbreaking literature, we bring to you the India Writing Project 2023 – Season 5. As a platform that vigorously encourages creativity, the India Writing Project welcomes writers of all ages, inviting them to submit entries in form of essays, poems, articles, or short stories on any subject or topic of their preference. This competition, while celebrating the freedom of expression, encourages diversity in style and genre, creating a buffet of literature for the readers and the judgying panel.
The India Writing Project, through the years, has built a reputation for being a cornerstone of creativity, attracting participants who express their thoughts freely and imaginatively. For those who prefer storytelling, this contest is an excellent opportunity to narrate compelling tales in your unique voice and style. If you have been longing to convey a message, share an experience, or simply create a world of your own through your writing, this is your chance!
Writers can opt for single, double, or triple entries with fees of Rs.699, Rs.1249, and Rs.1699 respectively. Each participant in this writing contest is guaranteed a participation certificate and a feedback report from a panel of accredited authors who shall scrutinize on various scopes including but not limited to clarity of writing, subject, consistency, and style of narration. Besides, there are cash prizes worth INR 51,000, INR 31,000, and INR 21,000 for the top three winners, with an opportunity to get their work published in national daily.
The contest encourages original, previously unpublished works. It goes without saying that plagiarized content will meet immediate disqualification. With a minimum word limit of 50 and a maximum of 1500, the contest is open for entries in English language only.
The last date for submission is 30th October 2023, with the results to be declared on 30th November 2023. But remember, the slots fill up on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis, so don’t delay!
We also recognize that not all stories make it to the top, but every story is worth being told, and every writer is capable of crafting an impactful narrative. For this reason, we have also instituted 10 bonus prizes, each worth INR 1,000. And regardless of victory or defeat, every participant will receive a verifiable e-certificate along with a report card that provides valuable feedback and tips from our prestigious team of judges.
