The participants themselves should write the piece of writing, which should not be plagiarized. Any submissions violating these terms shall be disqualified from the competition.

You can submit essays, poems, articles, or short stories written on ANY topic or subject as preferred by them. There is no restriction on the same. Submissions can be written in any style and from any genre as preferred by the writer
It is a limited-slot program, and registrations will close once the slots have been filled. Thereby, there will be no last date to register.
The last day to submit is September 15, 2024; the results will be announced on October 15, 2024.
There is no age restriction to entering the competition. Talent doesn’t distinguish between ages, so why should we?
You can submit as many entries as you’d like!
You retain 100% of your rights—none are transferred to us. We never share your work without your explicit permission, and everything is stored securely in an encrypted database.
No, each entry must contain only one piece of work. Submitting more than one or splitting a single piece into multiple entries will result in disqualification.
On your first registration for the 7th season, you’ll be able to submit a single entry. Once registered, you’ll receive login details for your submission portal. From there, you can register for additional entries.
Check your email for a link to set up your password for the submission portal. After setting your password, log in to the portal to complete your one-time profile setup and submit your entry. Keep in mind, the main IWP website and the submission portal are separate, with the portal accessible at my.indiawritingproject.com.
The fee for the first entry is ₹999, and each subsequent entry is ₹699 (with no limit on submissions). The fee covers evaluation, a certificate of appreciation, and feedback on your entry.
Yes, the word limit is a minimum of 50 words and a maximum of 1,500 words.
